These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website operated by St. Mary's Catholic Church Changamwe Parish ("the parish", "we", "our"). By visiting the site or submitting any information through it, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

  • Admin accounts are issued only to authorised parish staff. Sharing an admin account or attempting to access an account that is not yours is prohibited.

When using the Site you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purpose.
  • Submit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate for a Catholic parish community.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, accounts, servers, or storage.
  • Attempt to disrupt the Site through denial-of-service attacks, automated abuse, or excessive submissions.
  • Upload viruses, malware, or any code designed to interfere with normal operation.
  • Scrape or copy content at scale without our written permission.

4. Photo submissions

The Share Your Photos page allows you to send photos for possible inclusion in our public gallery. By submitting photos you confirm that:

  • You own the photos or have the right to share them with the parish.
  • You have the consent of any clearly identifiable people in the photos.
  • The photos do not contain unlawful, indecent, or inappropriate content.
  • You grant the parish a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to publish, display, and archive approved photos on this Site and in parish materials.
  • The parish may decline any submission, in whole or in part, for any reason and at any time.
  • You may request removal of an approved photo at any time by contacting the parish.

5. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, all content on the Site — including the parish name, logo, photographs, text, layout, and design — is the property of St. Mary's Catholic Church Changamwe Parish or used with permission. You may view and download content for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use (including reproduction, redistribution, or commercial use) requires our prior written consent.

6. Admin accounts and security

Admin accounts are reserved for authorised parish staff. If you have an admin account, you are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password confidential and not sharing your account.
  • Logging out at the end of each session, particularly on shared devices.
  • Notifying the parish immediately if you suspect your credentials have been compromised.
  • Using admin tools only for legitimate parish activities.

7. Third-party services and links

The Site may link to third-party websites or rely on third-party services (for example, Google Maps, Firebase, Cloudflare R2). We do not control those services, and we are not responsible for their content or policies. Their use is at your own risk and is subject to their own terms.

8. Availability of the Site

We aim to keep the Site available, but we do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict any part of the Site at any time, including for maintenance, upgrades, or security reasons.
